The sacred space of the little church on the corner was invaded on Monday. A burglar or burglars broke into the church, leaving muddy footprints and proceeded to rummage through the anything with a door, shelf, or drawer upstairs.
Extensive flooding on the ground floor and lower level was caused by damage to a hot water line.
The police were called, and church Council members joined them at the site.
Material theft was small as no money is kept in the church in these days of online banking. Missing, however, is a karaoke machine which supplied music for the Sunday School and a microphone for outdoor services,
